Making a character public

Every character starts private. Make one public and, once a person on our team approves it, it's listed for everyone on the characters page and on your public profile. This guide covers how to submit, what reviewers look for, and what to do if it's denied.

Publishing is permanent. Once a character is submitted, you can't edit it, make it private or delete it. Finish it before you submit.

Step 1: Get it ready

Characters with a full profile get far more chats. Before you submit, check:

• Photos and videos: add several to the gallery. More media means more chats. See How to write image prompts.

• Profile picture: your best, clearest shot.

• Tagline: a hook in a sentence or two. It's the first thing people read.

• Bio: who they are, their world and the situation you're in together.

• Categories: so people can find them.

Press Make public on the character's profile, then Edit in the checklist to add media and fill in these details. You can also use Edit on the character. See How do I edit or delete my character?

Step 2: Submit for review

1. Open the character from My AI, and press Make public.

2. Check the readiness list and fix anything that's missing.

3. Read what gets denied, and tick the box confirming you made the character, it follows the policy, and fuckd.ai may publish it.

4. Press Submit for review.

The character shows as In review in My AI while it waits. You can still chat with it, but you can't change it until the review is done.

What gets denied

• Anything that looks or reads underage. Characters must clearly be adults in their name, description, story and every image. School settings, childlike descriptions and young-looking images are denied.

• Real people. Celebrities, influencers, or anyone's likeness.

• Characters you don't own. Characters from films, TV, games, anime or brands.

• Non-consent. Coercion, or anyone unable to consent.

• Anything else banned by our rules, including incest, violence and gore, and the rest of the list in our Community Guidelines.

If it's approved

It appears in the characters list and on your public profile, and anyone can chat with it.

If it's denied

1. Open My AI and filter by Denied. You'll see the reason it was turned down.

2. Fix what the reviewer flagged. A denied character can be edited again.

3. Press Resubmit.

A denial isn't a strike against your account on its own, and a denied character stays private, so you can keep chatting with it either way. If something in the reason isn't clear, email hello@fuckd.ai with the character's name.
