What are Personas?
Tell characters who you are, so they treat you as that person in every chat.

A Persona tells characters who you are. Pick one, and your companions treat it as the real you in every chat: your name, your vibe and your backstory.
Without a Persona, characters just use your account name. Personas are a membership feature.
Create a Persona
In any chat, press the chat menu at the top and go to Persona.
Press New persona, or start from a template.
Give it a name (what they'll call you).
Describe who you are. For example: "A 28-year-old firefighter from Chicago. Confident and playful, loves teasing banter."
Press Create persona.
You can have up to 10 Personas. Names can be up to 40 characters and descriptions up to 800. Personas are checked by automated moderation before they're saved, so keep them within our Community Guidelines.
Use a Persona
Open Persona in the chat menu and pick the one you want to be. You can have several: a different you for different characters or scenes. Choose No persona to go back to your account name.
Tips
Include what should come up in chat: your job, where you live, how you know them, what you like.
Keep it short. A few sentences work better than a life story.
Pair it with the character's Relationship. A roommate character and a "new flatmate" Persona fit together naturally.
Edit or delete a Persona
Open Persona in the chat menu, then choose Edit persona or Delete persona. Deleting is permanent.
