Chat isn't responding. What can I try?

If a character stops replying or a message won't send, one of these is usually the reason.

You've run out of Spunk

Without a membership, each message costs 1 Spunk. New accounts start with 25. Once your balance hits zero, messages won't send.

Fix: upgrade for unlimited messages, or top up your Spunk.

Your message was blocked

Messages that break our Community Guidelines are blocked, and you'll see "Content blocked due to moderation".

Fix: rephrase and try again. See Why was my message or image blocked?

Our moderation isn't always perfect. If you think we've got it wrong, contact us from Support / Reports in the menu or at hello@fuckd.ai, and we'll either put it right or explain why it was blocked.

The reply is just slow

Long replies take longer to write. If Reply Length is set to Very long, or you're using an Advanced model, a reply can take a while to arrive.

Fix: give it a moment, or lower Reply Length under Writing Style in the chat menu. If replies seem excessively slow, contact us so we can check our services are running smoothly.

Something's stuck

1. Press Retry on the message, or regenerate the reply.

2. Refresh the page.

3. Try a different chat model under Model in the chat menu. One model being busy doesn't affect the others.

4. Check your internet connection, and turn off any VPN or ad blocker that might be interfering.

5. Sign out and back in.
